  1. I don’t understand why each location collects slightly different items, surely all items could be collected on your overall criteria then sorted at the central point/warehouse? I really want to get involved but I don’t want to make a journey wasting fuel and polluting to do only a partial sort out. I think it’s great what your doing so it’s not a moan but it isn’t consistent. Kind regards

    1. Hi Sadie,

The lists are different as they relate to a number of factors – some of our venues are smaller than others, so cannot accept the full list, and some of our volunteer teams are not so large as others, so cannot deal with the same volume of items as some of the larger sessions.

Some of the items are collected as they respond to a local need, rather than being something that we would collect across the whole organisation, as such, they never leave the local neighbourhood.

We don’t collect anything that cannot be passed on to fulfil a need in another charity or organisation so, sometimes, having more than one session collect these things would be far too much for a local charity to accept and too much for us to store.

Please do email me on contact@winonwaste.org if you would like to discuss this further.
